FREE Invitations / Announcements

Hey everyone! I'm trying to build my selection in my etsy.com shop, so if you have an event coming up and you need custom digital file invitations or whatever, please, I will do it for FREE!! I want to do it for people I know for the first few free ones, so yeah, right now I'm going to set the limit to 5, because I don't want to take on more than I can handle for the next week.

If you are interested, email me! spencers.abroad@gmail.com

the damage

well, we owe $450 in back insurance and now our insurance for me and the girls only (Travis can't get health insurance in the US because he has a pre-existing condition) is... dun dun dun... $500 a month! yikes!

But God knows, we'll see what happens because we don't even have that much support coming in per month right now.

The good news: if we leave by November, we will stay on our insurance and we don't have to start over with deductibles and pregnancy non-coverage (they only cover pregnancy after you are on the plan for a year). But I don't know if we are going to have anymore babies. We are both seriously considering adoption. Just waiting for God to introduce us to the next member of our family, maybe in Greece! But I don't know... maybe we'll have another baby in a couple of years. I just get nervous because what if I accidentally get pregnant, I want to be covered!

It's up for scoring!

Please, if you can, go vote for my shirt. Thanks!!! If you think you would buy a shirt like this please indicate the "I'd buy it" box on the right.

Show off! - Threadless T-shirts, Nude No More

Hey :) So along the lines of trying to figure out how to make some $$ for my surgery, here is my second threadless submission. I really poured my heart into this one, so please, go and vote. I would really appreciate it!

Complications...

Today we got an email from Saving Grace informing us that our insurance company said we only have 1 month of furlough coverage, and since we have been here longer than that, they are going to back charge us the rates for the US based insurance plan. I was really confused because I kept calling to figure out how things work and they kept saying as long as you are in the US less than 6 months out of the year, you should have coverage, but apparently that is not exactly what my contract says, yay. So now not only do we have to come up with probably $400 extra dollars, we are also going to have far less coverage (which was 100%) for my upcoming surgery to remove my gallbladder, which is probably going to be at least $1,000 ... probably $2,000 if not more. But I really need to have this surgery... I can't ignore this problem forever because it's getting worse and if it gets infected, I will have to have emergency surgery. God knows. I was reading in my devo this morning, I'm going through Hebrews. No small coincidence that today I got to the hall of faith (chapter 11).

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Hebrews 11:1

I don't see how God is going to work this out, but I know He will. I hope He will... the word hope in this verse means: "the object on which hope rests" and my hope rests in a great place, on the Lord.

Thank you Lord, that you saw this coming when I didn't!

Pictures from Tahoe!

Our play pen while we were at the beach :)

My favorite picture of me and Trav, I was able to swim out to this rock. I was actually up there first waiting for a long time for Travis to get over how cold he said the water was, and since I teased him so much about it, when he got to the rock he appropriately grabbed my hand and pulled me in the water... hehehe.

I couldn't go on the Sea-doo so I played in the sand.

We had a lot of car issues... Travis made the most of pulling over by posing for this picture. One way!!

Rafting on Lake Tahoe

While we were in Virginia City I sat in the car and read, while icing my ankle. This book is actually really interesting and amazing!! Go Samuel Clemens!!

The silver dollar dress... my favorite picture Travis took!

Such a sad inmate...

Ksena, she's getting so big!! She carried water for her and Kati in her "pack-pack" all day

We're back...

Hey everyone, first thanks for all of the emails that rolled in while we were away. I will start emailing back soon, but for now I need a break!! Vacation was fun, but I sprained my ankle (pretty badly) on the second day we were there. Ooops! I have some wonderful pictures of my brace and all that I will post later. Just wanted to say we're back and I'll be getting back to you soon. We aren't going to summer camp to help out because there is no way I can get around the camp like this, and I won't be much good as a baby sister :) And Trav's pills came from Hungary while we were gone, praise the Lord!! Thank you everyone who prayed for them to get here quickly.
